Freedom has a new face

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Yesterday I went to the international tradeshow of “design at work” in Kortrijk (Belgium).
And I got the chance to see this little thingie. Impressive and quite so simple.
I really like the idea of traveling light – at your own ease, and staying in touch with nature.
I’m not sure what the reason is though, they forgot to include the price in the brochure …

Pony Attack Art * Show * Fashion * Music *

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

Vorige vrijdag zijn mijn kleine zus en ik op stap geweest naar “LET’S PLAY FASHION 2008 * A NEW AND FRESH EDITION“.

Interieur 08

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Yesterday, we went to the opening of a big belgian interior fair in Kortrijk (BE), interieur 08.
I think it’s really worth visiting for anyone looking for great ideas or solutions for refurbishing homes.

brems swing door

We found some interesting stuff. For example we talked to the people of Brems Doors, who are specialised in doors. Their very clean minimal doors turning with a pivot point, and sliding doors are really worth seeing. Hopefully we’ll be using one of these very soon.

Unicodechecker

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

Unicodechecker is a free tool with the possibility to convert your unicode text into html, without having to change brackets included in the text and all that ..
If for some reason you’re looking for the html encoding of a special charachter – UnicodeChecker will display that character along with its UTF-8, UTF-16 and UTF-32 encodings, XHTML entity, Unicode Name, mapping information and much more …
Some texteditors may have this option included in their software but if they don’t unicodechecker can save you a lot of valuable time …

A + R

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

A + R is a online design shop, which is also based in LA.
I found some cool stuff on their website I wouldn’t mind having at home…

For instance this frame with grass to hang on your wall …

or these very kitsch curtains

or maybe this hub ..

Dornbracht

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

A while ago we started looking for new faucets and showers to install in our new bathroom.
We immediately fell in love with the Dornbrachts showers (here underneath you can see one of the Rainsky Models).
But the dream fell apart when they told us the price …
Why ooh why :)

Most faucets of Dornbracht are really nice – here you can see their eMote (works with an infrared module).

We chose these ones

Lighting – take 1

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

Lately I’ve been searching for nice lighting.
There is so much choice – and it’s difficult to find the right lighting for a specific room.
Since we are still refurbishing our home, these are some of the lights I stumbled upon.

Dark (BE)

1) Crosslight

They are available in different colors and versions.
You have for instance a wall-version of this model, but I wasn’t so fond of that one.

Dark Crosslight

2) D2V2

Truly nice. Also available in different colors and versions (hanging or standing).

Baulman (DE)

There are many LED lights available on the market for use in staircases, but most of them are not very minimal.
This one is, in my opinion.

Bover
(ES)

For reading in bed. Very clean if you ask me.

That’s all for now …
